Gegründet im April 2006 von Gitarristin Alexandra, sind SABIENDAS seit 18 Jahren fester Bestandteil der deutschen Underground Szene und stehen seitdem für kompromisslosen Death-Metal amerikanischer Prägung im Stil der glorreichen Tage der frühen 90er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts. Death-Metal alter Schule, bei dem Fans und Presse gern Vergleiche zu frühen Earache- und Roadrunner-Veröffentlichungen ziehen. Die musikalische Prägung der Mitglieder verschmilzt diese Einflüsse zu einem musikalischen Hammerkopf, welcher vor allem bei Live-Shows, eine starke Schlagkraft auf Gehörgang und Nackenmuskulatur ausübt.

Nachdem sich im Jahr 2011, ein bis heute konstantes Line-Up gebildet hatte, veröffentlichten SABIENDAS im Jahr darauf das Debut-Album „RESTORED TO LIFE“. Dies bescherte der Band die Möglichkeit sich auch auf großen Bühnen zu etablieren und sich auch im europäischen Ausland, von der Nordsee bis zum Balkan, einen Namen zu machen.

Mit dem zweiten Album „COLUMN OF SKULLS“ aus dem Jahr 2015, ist es gelungen die LivePower auf eine CD zu bannen. Erstmals wurden ausschließlich Songs aufgenommen, welche im Zusammenspiel der kompletten Band entstanden sind.

Das dritte Album „REPULSIVE TRANSGRESSION“ erschien 2020 bei Massacre Records im weltweiten Vertrieb und erhielt sowohl von den Fans als auch von der Presse überwältigend positive Resonanz. Das eingespielte Line-Up, langjährige gemeinsame Bühnenerfahrung ermöglichte eine konsequente Weiterentwicklung der Songstrukturen und ließ neue Einflüsse zu, ohne dabei auf die bekannten Markenzeichen von SABIENDAS zu verzichten.

Das von vielen Fans langerwartete vierte Album „PUPPETEER OF DOOM“, wurde im Sommer 2025 fertig gestellt und geht den eingeschlagenen Weg konsequent weiter. Eingängige Hooklines, treibende Riffs und ein insgesamt hohes Tempo, sind auch hier die Trademarks welche von SABIENDAS erwartet werden. Erneut ist Toni Merkel für die komplette Produktion verantwortlich, welcher in den letzte Jahren seinen Erfahrungsschatz durch Produktionen für z.B. Bands wie Sodom, maßgeblich erweitern konnte. Auch für das Artwork entschied sich die Band, die Zusammenarbeit mit Björn Lensig fortzuführen, welcher bereit für die visuelle Gestaltung des letzten Album verantwortlich war.

Founded in April 2006 by guitarist Alexandra, SABIENDAS have been an integral part of the german underground scene for 19 years and have since stood for uncompromising american-style Death Metal in the style of the glorious days of the early 1990s. Old-school Death Metal, wich fans and the press often drawing comparisons to early Earache and Roadrunner releases. The musical influences of the members merge these influences into a musical hammerhead that, especially during live shows, exerts a powerful impact on the ear canal and neck muscles.

After forming a lineup in 2011 that has remained unchanged to this day, SABIENDAS released their debut album “RESTORED TO LIFE” the following year. This gave the band the opportunity to establish themselves on big stages and make a name for themselves in other European countries, from the North Sea to the Balkans.

With their second album, “COLUMN OF SKULLS,” released in 2015, they succeeded in capturing their live energy on CD. For the first time, only songs that were created through the interaction of the entire band were recorded.

The third album, “REPULSIVE TRANSGRESSION,” was released worldwide by Massacre Records in 2020 and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both fans and the press. The well-rehearsed line-up and many years of shared stage experience enabled the consistent development of song structures and allowed for new influences without sacrificing SABIENDAS' familiar trademarks.

The fourth album, “PUPPETEER OF DOOM,” long awaited by many fans, was completed in the summer of 2025 and continues consistently along the path already taken. Catchy hooklines, driving riffs, and an overall fast tempo are once again the trademarks expected from SABIENDAS. Once again, drummer Toni Merkel is responsible for the entire production, having significantly expanded his wealth of experience in recent years through productions for bands such as Sodom. The band also decided to continue their collaboration with Björn Lensig for the artwork, who was responsible for the visual design of the last album.
